Children under the age of 16 that are wearing adult size shoes inevitably have a smaller arch. If your child’s adult shoe size lands right on the edge of one of our adult sizes the smaller X Brace is usually the correct choice.

Cleaning & Care:
STEP 1
We recommend having two pairs. Think of your socks. They stand up to an amazing amount of wear and tear in a single day. You wouldn’t wear them again until they’ve been washed and dried. In the case of Tuli’s X Brace, they do not need to be washed every day but having two pairs allows you the freedom to have foot support every day. Wear one pair during activity while the other pair is drying and regaining shape and elasticity before being worn again. Switching between two pairs each day will go a LONG way in extending the life of both pairs.
STEP 2
Allow the Tuli’s X Brace to dry completely before wearing it again. Do not leave a damp pair of Tuli’s The X Brace at the bottom of your gym bag or shoved in your shoes. A good option is to use a carabiner and clip the braces to the outside of your bag. This will allow them to air dry, plus they won’t get lost.
STEP 3
Let’s talk about washing. They do not have to be washed every day, but if your braces are starting to get a little smelly it is recommended that you give them a quick wash. However, it is incredibly important that you wash them correctly. The best option is to soak them in your sink with warm water and gentle soap and then allow them to air dry.
DO NOT PUT IN THE DRYER. Using heat to dry The Tuli’s X Brace compromises the performance of the elastic compression material.
We recommend using 2Toms® StinkFree® Sports Detergent to remove all odors and stains in your high-performance athletic apparel and gear. It uses a high-end residue lifter to restore clothing performance and breathability. Also, 2Toms StinkFree Sports Detergent doesn’t require any agitation to help remove the odor.
STEP 4
Let’s talk about preventing the stinky sweat odor. We recommend using 2Toms® StinkFree® Spray after each use to prevent and eliminate sweat odor. Its technically advanced formula has no perfume and cleans the pores that trap the odor in shoes and gear. You can also use 2Toms StinkFree Spray in your shoes, boots, gear, gym bags, pads/guards, gloves, lockers, etc.
When you first use 2Toms StinkFree Spray, we recommend spraying your Tuli’s X Brace on the inside of the material that touches the body until you can see it is covered with 2Toms StinkFree Spray. Let our Tuli’s X Brace air-dry overnight, then do the "sniff" test. If the smell isn’t completely gone on the first try, you may need to do several applications until it passes your sniff test. Once the initial “cleansing” is completed, you should apply regularly to not allow the smell to come back. This can be after every use or a weekly/routine basis.
